I just bought one of each item and threw it in storage, next to my pile of dwarven ale. I have no idea why i keep these things...

So Halloween items won't vanish after the event is over. Although they didn't tell if you could trade or drop them anymore. =/

Quick note, it seems that the Mad King appears at 12:00 pm, noon, not midnight. Thats what happened in Korea. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just relaying rumours from the game.

Um, you basically negated your own post with the comment "I'm relaying rumors...." If you realize it's a rumor, why post it?

You have to keep in mind that storage space is limited in Guild Wars, resulting in a game not really that condusive to the collecting of items without true inherent purpose and value.

Sadly, I think part of me would "like" the items to vanish, just so I don't feel like I missed out on money by not farming them now, however, if they stay, it would be a neat thing to pop off randomly in the Grotto now and again, but they don't have enough value/purpose to actually sell for much. (I would think.)

It is almost impossible to understand anyhting properly right now because there is so much chat. However everynow and then I heard people say he came at noon in korea, which makes sense because that wasn't so long ago and he hasn't arrived in America even though it's past midnight almost everywhere.

Well for me I'm collecting as many sets of the things as possible, since I know for a fact that they be worth something later. I missed out on the cheap Ectos and other things that have happened in this game, no way am I letting this one pass me by.

You have problems I won't be home till 6pm GMT, so say he keeps running up at different times of the day till Midnight, so I hope I get one. In the meantime I'll continue to collect halloween goodies.

Has anyone else partied up with the King's Bodyguards (those big candy golems) from LA?

Had about 4 of em following me around the wilderness the other night, casting their animate level 3 bone minions...pretty funny

HONESTLY GUYS even if all the haloween items become rare and collectable

so what! it gives the players who have alot of cash something to spend it on.
they will just be another item like the sickle is......rare and sought after

am i missing something?

and im also sure if it gets out of hand a-net would do something about it

i farmed only the witches brew but kept all the items from the mad king. ill ise the "boo" to rank people on my second account till i get a deer head, and ill use the ale to get drunk. since dwarven ale costs 200 a pop i can sell the brew for 175g all day or just to get faced once in a while. not bad for 2 lousy grawl neclaces.
